...also also the taxable annual income and deducting the 15k€ allowance? After all, with 2 children we're talking about approximately 130k€ annual household income.

Where does 130k stand?

75k taxable household income + 15k per child.

For the OP that would be 90k. That’s why I wouldn’t wait for the civil servant status either. I think it gets critical for the OP there.

Your statement is nonsense. The banks did not consider it equity even then. They can't. It is an uncertain item that has the character of a temporary household income.

I still had the home ownership allowance. So when I sold after 3 years, it was discontinued.

So if the position comes with civil servant status, we are currently looking at an annual gross salary of about €119,000; reducing this to under €90k with deductible expenses will be difficult. Overtime, business trips, and special payments are not included in the gross amounts mentioned above. With two children, the situation looks different again.

I thought so.......... That's why, if possible, don't wait. You should also get your financing approved anyway

The basis is the taxable annual income. This is not the same as the annual household income.

Example: The household income is 88k€ gross per year and you have 2 children, then your taxable income after deducting kindergarten fees, allowances, etc. is well below 88k€. You can check this after you have done your tax return.

From this amount, a Baukindergeld allowance of 15k€ per child is deducted.

And when I look at our taxable income, we would have to earn 125k€ gross to be excluded from the Baukindergeld. We have a difference of 22k€ between the two amounts. I don't know how it is for civil servants.
