Are you now looking for exactly the same lamp as in your hotel or do you just want some inspiration for a designer light? If you want exactly the lamp from the hotel, I would have asked an employee or at least taken a photo of it, with which you could then inquire here, for example. If you are looking for inspiration, then take a look at some design magazines or architecture magazines. Otherwise, trade fairs might also come to mind, where you might find something as well. Google is also your friend, although it is always difficult to search for something without knowing what you are actually looking for.

kaho674, unfortunately no, it was completely full and I found it a bit uncomfortable to take photos right in the middle of the crowd. Thanks anyway for the tip!

ypg and hampshire, thanks for the suggestions. I’ll check them out right away.

guckuck2, yes we are also thinking about the dining room... I believe the effect is best there. For the stairs, I would find it a bit too much. As I said, unfortunately I don’t have a photo. But it was a hanging lamp and there were various floor lamps in the same style distributed throughout the restaurant. The whole thing really made an impression... You can generally play a lot with lighting.

Pakon, well, depending on the style of the lamp. But generally I would be happy to get some inspiration... maybe I’ll find something I like even better. I have already looked through magazines (at least online). But thanks for the tip about the trade fairs. I could check those out as well. Do you mean more design fairs, or interior design fairs, or where is the best place to look?

What kind of lamps do you generally like? To get a bit inspired...

So if it is exactly the lamps from the restaurant, then I would just call or send an email there. They are always very nice anyway and basically do everything, so you will probably be able to quickly read the brand on the lamp and pass that on to you. I would just not call exactly at the times when the restaurant is full. They probably have quite different inquiries to answer then. I didn’t have a particular trade fair in mind, basically any inspiration helps you. If it was a small hip restaurant, it is very possible that they work with artists from the area or with companies from the region. If it was a large restaurant chain or system gastronomy, then it is probably a large company that can handle the high demand. Maybe you can also find something on the homepage. I personally think everything has to fit together. I don’t like it too ornate and actually really like clear lines.

No, they shouldn’t be exactly the same. It was the whole ambiance that fascinated and appealed to us. We will hardly be able to copy that and don’t want to anyway. Instead, we prefer to do our own thing. It should look like us and we want to give the whole thing a special touch. Besides, we also have to combine it with the already existing furnishings. Therefore, something simple would probably be the best choice. It should also be something innovative where you can play around and experiment with the light – anyone can just turn the switch on and off. I just don’t know exactly where to find such lamps best. In any case, I will continue to flip through some design and style magazines for nice lamps. Maybe something nice will turn up.

Going there and pointing towards the ceiling has always worked for me so far... I have many lights from restaurants and hotels on my phone However, you should differentiate between hotels and home In every larger city there is usually a big lamp store that has a lot on display. Also design in every category. Have a look there. Since your profile does not say anything about your location, no one can help you in that regard.

That’s kind of freaky – you know that, right? On my phone, I mostly have pictures of family, friends, and the garden.
