How did you decouple the base from the floor? I've read several times now that masonry/concrete bases are prone to transmitting noises throughout the whole house if not properly decoupled.

I'm building ours now out of construction timber...

Ah OK.. I only know the 30cm baseboards from old buildings, so that the machine stays dry during flooding

The base stands on raw concrete floor and is decoupled all around with XPS panels. We have no problems at all with sound transmission.

I have no idea - you can see in the photo that there is something behind and underneath. You can't hear anything.

I would really wish for such a pedestal now, bending down is not only bad for people with knee problems but also for, for example, pregnant women :P
