What exactly is meant by the washing machine/dryer pedestal? Simply a base so that the things stand higher up? What is supposed to be such a huge advantage?

Presumably, it’s so you don’t have to bend over when emptying the machines. Personally, I’m against front-loading machines and am a fan of top loaders. With those, I take the laundry out piece by piece and neatly put it in the basket – saves ironing.

I understand you, but due to space reasons I also had to do without it. However, we now have a hygienic shower at every toilet. That is also great and we would not want to do without it anymore.

But then the machines must be positioned significantly higher. It's probably one of those things you only learn to appreciate once you have it.

That would finally be a reasonable trend: if the bidet would once disappear from the number 1 spot of unknown cultural assets.


Is that essentially any different from the concept of a "bidet" quasi integrated as all-in-one?
