Many grasses become wide over time. Probably fit best. Then they need to be divided every few years.

I think you are the only one here who designs their garden according to the irrigation system and Robbi. What plants do you have? I seem to remember that you planted, among other things, roses. Then a climbing rose, rambler rose in the same flower color could fit.

If both partners work full-time, it's just not that easy with the time. And on the weekends we mostly have other plans.
That's why we want it to be easy to maintain.

You misunderstand that I plan the lawn purely based on irrigation and Robbi, but there are necessary evils like how the lawn has to be built and planned so that such technology works perfectly. And that's what I want to achieve. Of course, one could have done without the flowerbed strip at that spot, but I don't want to have to lift the lawn if I ever need/want to change something about the irrigation.

As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't need any blooming flowers there at all. That doesn't suit me. I'm a big fan of grasses! And maple! We have planted quite a few maples.

I have looked at them. Unfortunately, it says online that some of them also grow very thick close to the ground? Or do you have a specific name where you know for sure that this is definitely not the case?

They naturally become denser and spread out. But only if the soil provides support for their roots. They would be pruned once a year. However, from what you write, it seems you do not want to do that. I find them quite elegant in their simplicity against white and gray, quite modern indeed. And they are evergreen.
