Because I don't want my irrigation system to be installed in the lawn area, but outside of it. In case I need to change something, etc.

True, something living might get lost there otherwise. (Had to say that, you did kick again back then) Have you already looked at pampas grass? I think it also fits a "clean" garden.

You seem to have a good memory!

We even planted pampas grass in front of the terrace. But when I see how big and thick (round) it has become, we probably won't enjoy that bed for long ;-(

Put ground cover plants like [Mauerpfeffer] there. It blooms a nice yellow for quite a long time and is very undemanding. I would stay away from [Immergrün], as it tends to creep a lot. Otherwise, work with [Nelkenkissen]. They also like partial shade. And in the background, a [Waldrebe] for climbing up.
