No, not unspectacular, I like Calluna.. unfortunately our soil here is too dry and not acidic enough. I would have planted at least twice the amount.

I have taken the spacing that the gardener recommended. I think the whole thing will grow dense over the years. I hope the colors will then blend nicely into each other!

It should already be growing. It is mulched, after all. Actually, I think it's good that a gardener doesn't always make money by having the plants look a bit puny and like they haven't had enough when planting.
