What to plant in a narrow bed along a garage?

For shade in connection with trellis
- Clematis
- Honeysuckle
- Roses, although they would grow too deep for me and over the years would grow into the driveway. Would probably be more at kitchen height

Grasses could fit with your other plantings

Perennials and grasses from the prairie garden area (I don’t know how that would look as a strip and whether the system works well is questionable) grow somewhat taller

No, no grass at all there.. It looks more or less like this. Once it’s grown in, it hardly requires any work... well.. now there is grass anyway..

Below a few herbs, lavender, etc. as already suggested, and on the wall guttering for lettuce. We had that in the last house. It was snail-free and delicious. Needs some light.
