Hello everyone,
we were at our planning meeting today and I need to take a question with me.
It is about a T30 door:
- according to the data sheet from Novoferm: construction dimensions: 100x2125mm, raw construction dimensions/nominial dimensions: 1010x2130mm, clear passage dimensions: 932x2091mm, frame outer dimensions: 1042x2159mm (+25mm) floor recess
- we have a screed + tiles of 18mm
Can someone tell me which size I need for my raw masonry?
Thank you in advance for the answer.

That's clearly stated there:

Thank you for your answer.
The builder means that it is only the rough frame door, not the rough opening dimensions of the masonry.
The rough opening dimensions of the masonry are still a bit larger (depends on the craftsmen).

A rough construction dimension only exists for the hole in the wall – not for the door that goes into it. The table means that the door is made for this nominal dimension of 101 x 213. The door manufacturer knows that bricklayers are not precision mechanics, which is why there is a DIN standard for the permissible tolerances of their dimensional deviations between what they are supposed to build and what they actually build. The door manufacturer takes these tolerances into account. This means, conversely, that the bricklayer must also manage within the allowed tolerance range. You should always have brick corners and wall openings made by bricklayers – not by friends from other trades who first send you to Google to check whether the dimensions are serious. They are supposed to actually make a hole in the size "width 101 by height 213, each plusminus DIN 18202"!

Hello 11ant,
thank you for your explanation.
The wall will be built by masons. I just have to pass the dimensions on to the architect for the plan.
Another question: this door has a floor recess of 25mm. My screed is only 16.5mm + tiles (in the plan: total 18mm). How should I solve this problem?
