What funding is available in Bavaria for replacing old windows?

Hello,

I have a house which has about 40-year-old wooden windows installed; these are box windows. The house is an old building which is about 130 years old. One floor in the house is commercially rented (practice/engineering office). The ravages of time have clearly taken their toll on them, and they do not have thermal glazing and are still sealed with window putty. A window fitter took a look at them and said he would advise against renovation and either leave them in or replace them with new windows. I am also leaning towards replacement. Is there a suitable funding program in Bavaria that applies here? I would like to thank you in advance for your contributions and help.

Best regards Matthias

Honestly, I don't know. But why should the taxpayer subsidize the replacement of 40-year-old windows (which are long past the end of their service life anyway)?

I drive a 20-year-old Golf III... now I would like a Golf VIII, where can I get subsidies, ideally I get it for free!... ?

I would consider an individual measure through Bafa. Otherwise, google the funding database.

I find your statement unrealistic, maybe you have missed a lot in recent years. Why does the government promote the switch to heat pumps? Why does the government promote low-energy construction through the KFW or why are solar systems now subsidized? I’ll give you the answer: Because it saves emissions and energy, just as replacing old windows with new ones achieves this goal.

Honestly, I wonder about that too. And so does the construction industry – however, they are happy about it because the subsidies end up in higher prices for craftsmen and heat pump manufacturers. And through higher loans + KfW loans, we at the bank are also happy. Construction is done according to KFW 55 – regardless of whether with or without subsidies. What needs to be subsidized is the existing building stock. And there, also the replacement of old windows. And young families need to be subsidized. But that is all off topic.

Why is that? Is that some kind of moral nonsense? They are already getting child benefits, which experts have already seen as a bad investment.
