We also have some that can only be opened from the inside...

Oh man, I no longer know what to believe from our architect. I also told him that I can't imagine there are only ones that can be opened from the outside, provided you build at least KfW 70. You don't know which boxes (Firma - Fabrikat) you have installed, so I can give that to our architect as a starting point.

Is it even possible to access the boxes from the outside with a clinker facade? (don't say it can't be done, I just imagine it to be fiddly)

Yes, then you have covers in front - usually looks pretty lousy - or you integrate it design-wise into the building.

There are certainly no special boxes for KFW - it depends on the overall package anyway.

Such things are not calculated as individual items at all.

We also have boxes to be renovated inside and for the roller shutter system in the clinker area, no expensive boxes at all.

A well-known manufacturer is, for example, Rekord-Holzmann.

I'm slowly wondering if your architect might be a bit too set in his ways when it comes to planning...?

Veka®, Weru®, Kömmerling® and co. (all brand manufacturers) all offer windows with integrated roller shutter boxes; you can't see them on the façade from the outside at all; the inspection opening is always on the inside. The boxes are insulated from both inside and outside; this has little to nothing to do with building according to KfW 70

Best regards from the Rhineland

we are planning to build massively. the building application has already been signed. the house is not kfw 70 because we will, among other things, heat with gas condensing technology. according to the architect, in order to build at all according to the energy saving ordinance, we have to put solar panels on the roof.

are there no other options here. we do not want a ventilation system or any other heating. windows will be triple-glazed. how do we comply with the energy saving ordinance without the solar parts. a chimney is planned. does a water-based one help?

regards
