That's true, I also always think about what I should invest the much "attacked" child benefit in next...
What nonsense. There are certainly many misinvestments, but child benefit is by no means one of them.

That’s called "investment in the future". Nice pub talk. The child benefit is just a drop in the ocean compared to the costs children cause. At most, one can debate up to which income level child benefit should still be paid. But that it is enormously important, especially for low and middle incomes, to allow children a somewhat decent life, hardly anyone can dispute. At our school, there have just been big discussions about the costs of a class trip. Some children didn’t even dare to hand in the slip with the costs at home because it’s already clear that the class trip devours 2.5 child benefits...

Hi,

And again someone who hasn’t understood that the child benefit is only an advance payment on the tax exemption for children. And that is legally anchored.

Many greetings,

Andreas

And that’s a good thing. Once, a "Double Income, No Kids" person threw at me, "Yes, I pay your child benefit with my taxes. You’re welcome," to which I replied that my children will later pay their pensions. She didn’t want to hear that either. :D

Everyone pays into their own pension. Ever looked at your pay slip? I can’t listen to this "MyChildrenPayYourPension" nonsense anymore. No! I have paid in myself all my life and don’t get a cent from your children. The only problem is that child benefits lead to the wrong people multiplying and mothers having no pension later. Great investment. I’d like to have a horse. Will I get horse money then?

Regarding children, there was one thing in the GDR that was truly an achievement: everyone had a daycare place at minimal cost, and food and drinks for the children were partially free or also at minimal prices. We were top class in that regard, and it was great.
