My wife is a head nurse in psychiatry (outpatient - so without shift work), 33 years old and earns 1,900 net in Hesse.
But well, this is not supposed to become a fundamental discussion about the salaries of psychiatric employees. It just surprised me that here 1,000 net more is earned in a lower position.
With my wife, the shift allowances made the pot a bit bigger. Not infrequently, the nursing staff on shifts go home at the end of the month with (not insignificantly) more money than the 9-to-5 ward manager. At what price, though...
