Hello everyone,

I always read along quietly here and have already learned a lot about house construction through the forum. Thanks to everyone for that. Now we have bought a plot of land. Only with the floor plan planning we are having problems. We know what we want but can't put it on paper. I'll try to explain everything we want and maybe someone feels like roughly sketching the whole thing.

- Sloping plot, meaning a hillside house
- Plot about 20x40m (the road runs along the 40m, the slope falls from the road downwards, if you stand on the road and look at the plot it also slopes slightly from right to left)
- House exterior about 12x9m + double garage to the right of the house accessible through the hallway
- Basement with office, hobby room (possibly 2x), laundry room, heating room with pellet storage
- Ground floor with bathroom with only shower, kitchen, pantry and dining room in one, living room with pellet stove, storage room (kitchen and living room on the far left of the house)
- The staircase should be a half-turned staircase with a landing

- First floor with 3 children's rooms about 15sqm, master bedroom and bathroom with bathtub and shower
- Roof 15° gable roof
- No bay windows, very simple rectangular house shape
- No frills or special features, simple and plain
- All rooms if possible square or rectangular without angled walls

These were and still are our considerations so far. I hope someone can help us.

Many thanks in advance.

And what do you want now? For someone to deliver you a plan?

I don’t think that will happen. You will have to post your ideas, drafts, sketches here and based on that we can discuss.

They don’t have to be perfect plans created with the appropriate software, graph paper and pencil and neatly drawn will do as well.

Go for it!

No, the architect you have hired or the planner/architect of your BU/GU is fundamentally responsible for your house design. Any flaws will then be remedied here :)

Uhhhm without dimensions in the plan, nothing works at all, room labels would also be great and this hallway on the [OG].... seriously? And a wall above half of the staircase? How is something like that supposed to work if you don’t have 4m ceiling height?
