I will now try to clarify the conditions and what our needs are:

We are 2 adults and 2 children (2 & 6), no more children are planned.
Accordingly, we need 2 children's rooms and one bedroom.
A kitchen, living and dining room
as well as a sewing room, as I have a business.
The existing bathroom is too small for 4 people and also outdated, so an additional shower bathroom is needed.
There is no basement, so a utility room is necessary.
Especially because the gas heating is currently in the kitchen and this should be converted into living space.
Also, the main power connection and fuse box would have to be accommodated there.

Our plot is 767 sqm, the existing house is located at the back.
I made a sketch of how we imagine the extension:

And this is a sketch of the existing condition from the architect, we have no original documents

Do you have any ideas on how this can be solved?
With an extension of approximately 50-60 sqm living space?

Many thanks in advance (:

I see no pictures, nor any attempt:

Well.. what do the renovation plans for the main house look like? Which walls can be changed completely or partially?

But the commercial space has no customer visits – right?

I know, the whole thing seems a bit unstructured...
It kind of is. We had actually brought an architect on board, but it's moving rather slowly and not really according to our ideas. So I thought I'd get some inspiration from other sources.
Next Sunday we're going to the house building fair and I'd like to approach potential construction companies there with somewhat more concrete ideas. Maybe all of this would be doable without the architect as well.
Originally, we wanted to leave the existing building as it is, but the longer we live here (yes, we are actually living here as four right now ),
the more it becomes clear what we want and need.

Maybe the whole thing is also too complex and complicated to discuss at a distance in the forum

But now to your questions:

I don’t have customers visiting, the office can gladly be attached to the living area.

The existing building is structurally challenging, the middle longitudinal wall is load-bearing and cannot be removed.

In terms of layout, this is our current favorite (not to scale):

Mmhh, I don’t know if this helps any further...

Hmm, hard to say without measurements.

Are only the parents supposed to use the bathroom?
What is on the left side of the house on the wall to the shed?
What is supposed to happen with the large open space?

Yes, the old bathroom will then probably be used predominantly by us parents, the children mainly shower and could then use the new bathroom. We would like to use the large open space as additional room for the children and their wardrobes, since the children's rooms are quite small. On the left side of the shed, we thought of accommodating a storage room, as there is no window there. We would like to keep the shed standing.
