I as a former girl and teenager (now woman :P) would probably have hated my parents if they had the idea to move my wardrobe to another room, how often I changed and changed again and rearranged, sometimes with less clothing, I wouldn't have needed my brother's friends running around me.

That's a good point, I wouldn't have liked that either :D But then maybe my daughter will move into our bedroom later, I think something like that can be arranged... We probably can't consider all eventualities anyway

Hi Marie,

Is the wall south of the children's rooms solid or load-bearing?

If yes, then you could build a kind of "sleeping niche" for the bed and wardrobe of each child parallel to the load-bearing wall in front of the children's rooms. That way, the hallway wouldn't seem so palace-like and the children's rooms would gain some more space.

Yes, unfortunately this exact wall is load-bearing, which somehow makes it extra difficult :(

Oh, I see, kind of like a little "suite" ;) That doesn't look bad at all at first, thanks for the suggestion. I need to sketch that with measurements to see if it would be possible.
