Washing machine noise throughout the house through the laundry chute?

What are your experiences with a laundry chute? The laundry chute ends in the utility room. Because of this, can you hear the washing machine throughout the whole house?

Yes, that is correct. Our laundry chute therefore consists of a duct silencer from [Firma Torx].

We have a laundry chute from the bathroom on the upper floor to the utility room in the basement. It goes through the ground floor (Speis). Our chute is a KG pipe with a diameter of 30 cm. The pipe ends between the heat pump and the washing machine, next to it is the dryer. We built a lid made of wood in the bathroom and tiled it. On the underside, I attached a 5mm rubber insulation mat. We don't hear anything in the bathroom. It would have worked without insulation as well, but then the lid would bang if you let it fall.
