Hello everyone,

it's about the planning of the bathroom, especially the shower in the master bathroom.

Planned is a walk-in shower with a width of 1.20 and a depth of 1.50.
Floor-level with stainless steel drain in the floor.

I am now faced with the question of whether to have the partition wall built from the existing Poroton bricks at a height of 2.00 meters or to have a glass wall installed.
Clear room height: 2.72.
I am torn back and forth. Maintenance effort etc. Costs with stone certainly cheaper.
The opening of the shower faces the window.

Do you have any ideas/tips? The bathroom is driving me crazy.

We have a fixed one, but I would prefer more natural light, of course. Cleaning has to be done anyway.

In which direction does the shower opening face at your place?

Google Wings walk in Douche, Allibert. Unfortunately, to my knowledge, it's only available in BENELUX, but it's an eye-catcher and super low maintenance. 10 seconds with the squeegee and done. Available in 2 sizes and also without a shower tray. (The round wall annoys the tiler because of the slope;) )

We have had both versions in recent years and our absolute favorite is the half-and-half solution, that is about half-height masonry/tiled and a glass panel on top. I find your width of 120cm too large, although I always prefer things more generously and it doesn't bring any comfort advantage. In my opinion, 100cm width is absolutely sufficient and comfortable. Currently, I have here 90x140 and I will do the same in the new build, where the 10cm masonry wall ends at 120cm height and in the upper area I therefore have 100cm width. A length of 140cm is completely sufficient, in the second bathroom we even have 120cm with a half glass side panel, which is also enough. Your 150cm is therefore great! Acquaintances have a depth of 200cm, which then already has a cave-like character. What I like about the half-and-half solution is the fact that I can easily remove the glass wall without having to bend down all the time. The large glass front is stylish but half of the glass is lower down, which I find very uncomfortable. If you then place the glass on the outer edge, you automatically get a shelf inside at the right height.
