Sure, every quarter 3.5% up. Good thing the collective agreement wages are rising similarly.

Joking aside. This "time pressure" is a marketing tool. Nothing more, nothing less.

This approach was the same for us. We agreed to it and signed a contract so that we would get the old prices. That was then many thousands of euros. Beforehand, we also inquired with the surrounding companies and contrary to popular belief, they were still much more expensive with the same services. In the end, we regretted nothing and we knew down to the cent exactly what the house would cost us in the end, with local ones it was only rough estimates. The deadlines were also very well met.

What nonsense; the provider who was in the shortlist with us back then always increased prices at the end of March. Since 2012, on average 3% every year. Sometimes with adjustments to the construction service description as well.

With some providers, there is an active community on the internet including the price tables.

Of course, there are also some where the salesperson’s greed for commission is so big that prices are constantly only available for a short time or the scooter is only partially included in the price anymore.

The difference then is that you can get different offers if the first one doesn't fit. With a [Fertighaus], it's take it or leave it. That's why so many people - including me - complain about the sometimes crazy markups on plumbing, electrical,... I don't sign a contract with someone for half a million euros if I realize from the start how they want to rip me off.

I cannot confirm that. There were surcharges, yes, but only because of the snow load and the [electroverteilerkasten]. The seller informed us about that relatively promptly. Everything was included for us, insert the key, unlock, move in.

It's nice when things go that way. That should be the standard, unfortunately one gets the impression that these are only exceptions now.
