So I don't find our vinyl floor slippery or cold, quite the opposite. But it certainly depends on the product. You can check it out in person at the respective store. It is recommended anyway, also for laminate or tiles.
Laminate is plastic. I find it worse as a seat cushion than a carpet that you can throw away after three years because the kids will be sitting on the chair anyway. Tiles are cold in summer, unless the sun warms them up. That feels pleasant on warm days.
However, a note: both surfaces, including parquet and others, are hard. There is a reason why you find some carpets on the floor. With baby fat on the knees it's okay, but once that's gone, a small carpet, no matter the floor, is always preferable.
Thank you very much for your contribution!
We would offer "play rugs" on the floor anyway. But the little ones crawl/walk all over the house, and I don't want them to always have cold feet. But otherwise, they/we just have to always walk around with non-slip socks; you probably get used to it. Maybe we could put a carpet on the tiles in the living room for playing.. We'll have to see..

Oh, we’ll definitely do that! Right now it’s more about the basic decision "tiles vs laminate vs vinyl." But you’re absolutely right, I would never order something like that online without due caution, I’d at least have samples sent. Most likely it will be a local store anyway.
Slowly the use of "beratungsresistent" is being overused: I really have trouble accusing someone of being resistant to advice when they have their own opinion (for example about the stairs). For example, I just want a straight staircase :

So we have vinyl "everywhere" (except bathrooms and utility room) and are very satisfied. My wife also gets cold feet quickly, but she hasn’t complained yet. :) In the living room and the children's rooms, we also have larger rugs where the children can sit and play.
