I expressed myself incorrectly... We meant more that we want everything on one level later. 80 cm doors can still be used well with a walker. We have several 4 m2 WCs with showers and sinks (guesthouse), that fits well. The bathrooms have also already been used with a walker. Planning turning circles seems a bit exaggerated to us. Very few end up in a wheelchair. It's more about not having to climb stairs in old age (we currently see this with the grandparents) and being able to rent out the upper floor... (Dressing room as kitchen, removing the wall between bedroom and children's room to have a large living room.) Since the plot has not yet been surveyed, we do not yet have height information. You have to see anyway where exactly the house can be best placed. An excavator is available, so that should not be a big problem now. With hillside properties, you always have earthworks. The wardrobe is on the left in the hallway (2 meter closet). Since my husband often has dirty boots and clothes, we will mostly use the utility room as an entrance and dirt lock. Everything can then go directly into the washing machine, shoes can stay there, stroller can stand there... This relieves the situation at the entrance on the ground floor. The note about the stairs is an important hint. The exact measurements must be drawn by the architect. We also want to use the hobby room as a buffer. We still do not know how many children there will ultimately be. Thanks for your suggestions! We have moved the entrance in the basement to the utility room.

But rather not if the rough opening measurement is meant. People who use a walker usually walk unsteadily. That requires more track width.

Living without thresholds and on one level is far from barrier-free. 80 cm rough opening width causes pinched fingertips. Are such narrow doors even still installed in single-family homes? The excavator is still the cheapest option for building on a slope.
