Traveling during the construction phase?

I recently saw a documentary on prefabricated houses on TV. Of course, the builders want to be there when the walls are flown in with a big crane. The construction manager or a builders' babysitter explained everything. But you could clearly see from his expression that he would have preferred the builders to be on vacation. :D

And our presence saved the carpenters a lot of time. The walls were loaded incorrectly and had to be sorted. My husband and I were able to assign the walls without a plan. This made it much faster.

Yes, I was also helpful when assigning walls :)

On 4.8. the foundation slab will be constructed and afterwards the main contractor has company vacation until the end of August. We are flying on Wednesday for vacation. I have informed the expert about the appointment for the foundation slab. He will take a look at it then. And when it continues we will already be back on site :D :D Good that I booked :D

We had a heavy rain of 120l/m² shortly before the start of construction. Even days afterwards we had problems with accumulating [Schichtenwasser]. The ground was not stable. Another new soil survey was necessary. Pile foundation was being considered. New questions arose daily. I wouldn’t have slept a minute on vacation.

But if an expert is on site and overall not much happens, you can do that. :)
