Traffic light control during partial road closure

does anyone have experience whether a traffic light control is absolutely necessary for a one-sided road closure? On some days, we need to close a traffic area 30 meters long on one side, and it would be significantly cheaper without a traffic light system.

You have to apply for the road closure. It will be determined whether
- a detour is necessary
- traffic lights
- or just signage

The problem is that the road closure, even if only partial, must be applied for with the exact date at least with us.

Hello Haydee, you are right, that is really problematic. According to our construction company, we can only announce the appointment with one week's notice. The costs of the traffic light system are currently exploding with 10 setups and teardowns. We initially submitted the application without the [Ampelsperre] requirement and hope that it remains somewhat affordable. Best regards Eduard

What is supposed to be delivered that requires a closure so often? Is the street heavily trafficked? For us, deliveries were simply unloaded while parked on the street without any ifs or buts. However, for the appointment, we still obtained a permit for 3 days for 250 euros.

Demolition contractor simply blocked it by hand signal. He is allowed to do that if he perceives an imminent danger. It was also never very long.

Setting up the site was not possible otherwise. It was for 3 days. With traffic lights, signage, etc., it cost almost 3,000 euros.
I estimate that would be due for every application + setup.

Why should the street always be blocked temporarily?
If a truck parks for 30 minutes to load and unload, then that's how it is.

The problem is that the property is on a slope and the construction crane cannot be brought onto it. It has to be placed on the street for the days it is needed. Setting up a traffic light system becomes quite tricky because the installation (assembly/disassembly) has to be carried out every time.
