After having quietly followed along here for quite some time, I would now like to ask for suggestions or criticism. Basically, we are quite satisfied with the floor plan; the only corner that still bothers me is the large "dead" area between the living and dining areas, towards the terrace. A lot of space is lost there for "nothing," maybe someone has a great idea of what to make out of it or how to change it, or generally any comments on things we might not have considered!?

I don't like it - many corners and edges, dead space... we have the same living area and nearly 3 more rooms

- dark wardrobe
- cars run over residents' feet
- dressing room hardly furnishable
- strange dead space between living and dining
- stairs seem way too short
- stairs are not directly next to the front door, but due to the location of the too small wardrobe, the effect is similar

Thank you for the feedback!

- We would need to light the wardrobe accordingly
- We don’t see the cars as problematic since it is a quiet street in a village with 400 inhabitants
- A 4m Pax wardrobe fits in the dressing room; we actually consider that sufficient
- We need to check the size of the staircase again, thanks for the hint!
- Do you have any idea how to use the dead corner? Could you show me your floor plan?

Meant more the cars that drive into the garage...

Difficult... traditionally with these floor plans, the kitchen / dining / living area is often arranged around the corner, where the dining area then fills the corner. You have more of a C-shape...

Unclear if that helps you, since the shape of the house is completely different:

Yes, strange... I had a weird feeling when I saw the floor plan. Our ground floor is comparable :-* I wondered why the straight layout of the kitchen and dining area didn’t work for us – and, yes, of course: you have more square meters than we do. But even partly in places where I think more could have been cut back in ours ;) Upstairs, you can then see the consequences: the huge rooms that I find absurd. Children’s rooms can easily be 20% smaller (I can already hear the typed letters like “my children should have it good/better” – then give them a game subscription at the dining table!), the bedroom 10%, but with a proper, that is, larger dressing room. The bathroom looks very big; width-wise it can’t hurt if a real tub is installed, but I find the T-solution here quite unnecessary and recommend the L-solution. A storage room upstairs would have been nice too, they really skimped on that in the house. And an entrance area in the outdoor area is completely missing. I would separate the house from the garage or make it half a meter wider or not put the gate in the middle so that there is enough space for a proper landing at the entrance. Regards

BeHaElJa, unfortunately the floor plan doesn’t help me at all :(

We should think again about the driveway/front door...
