Hello,
we bought five doors from Bauhaus for the house and had them installed. These were also installed correctly, everything is level. Unfortunately, two of these doors are extremely difficult to close or lock. Therefore, we contacted Bauhaus and a craftsman came who claimed that this was okay. So we complained again, this time 3(!) people came: the branch manager, an employee, and an expert. After a long back and forth, none of these three gentlemen could explain to us why 3 out of 5 doors close perfectly, but the others do not. To fix the problem, the strike plates were filed down. We had this "idea" ourselves, but I saw it as damage, so I refrained from doing so. Now they are demanding 150€ from us for a botched job in my opinion.
Is this legal? Or should I rather contact an expert?
Thank you very much!
