I also find it practical in young years. We decided on a dishwasher downstairs in the corner. If it still dries a bit, you can leave it open without it being in the way. I think – as always – it depends on the overall planning.

One does not exclude the other. But at a young age, it hardly matters because the body tolerates a lot.

Above and I personally would also only buy one with a side-hinged door. We have had that for several years now and don't want to miss it anymore. Of course, there aren't many models that have that, but I think it's worth it.
