Surcharge for facade paint from white to color?

Does everything always have to be talked down and moldy as soon as "Town & Country" is mentioned? Everything above HBW30 is included in the price there or at least it was until the end of 2021.

The color of the house "doesn't dare" Town & Country? The builder dares that. If I absolutely want pig pink for the architect's house, the architect will hardly say "No, I'll make it white..."

So Town & Country only sells old stock. But there must be a lot of old stock to get rid of ;)

I am actually more the candidate for the chair of the Town & Country appreciating faction here. What you may have had in your tea to so thoroughly twist my explanation is beyond me. The special colors would only be a burden in calculation and logistics if they were made unattractive by surcharges, which this provider wisely refrains from. That a provider does not make the mistakes of its competitors is the opposite of talking things down!

The customer dares the color on the specifically ordered house. But in the brochure, the manufacturer dares. And almost all competitors are significantly less daring there.

Sorry for my late reply and many thanks for the countless posts here, I did not expect that!! We have not decided yet because there are unfortunately now enormous discrepancies over many more points, which are not "just" around €4,000. A clarification meeting with the managing director is scheduled for next week. However, this is primarily not about a possible exorbitant price he can certainly demand (after all, I am not forced to pay €15 for an Aperol Spritz at Markusplatz either, but the seller can still demand it), rather it is about agreements that were not kept regarding the price guarantee and several other things that bother us but which we have always restrained ourselves from mentioning out of politeness. Everything is very complicated and if things go badly, it might not be solvable without a lawyer. We didn’t want to build like this, we actually deliberately chose a small local company because we thought the word of yesterday and the reputation of the company still counted... Difficult times in which construction has to happen right now, we remain optimistic and hope for a peaceful compromise, but the aftertaste still remains...

The written word applies – not only in the current construction boom. If, on balance, you pay just four grand over budget, you can be sure of two things: the envy of many other builders and that legal action will cost more. The final color and the even nicer one that you actually wanted, would, would, bicycle chain, will probably only be distinguishable by very few viewers and only under optimal conditions. The world is full of victims who urgently need a lawyer. Smoke an HB ;-)

I’ve been thinking for a long time about what’s strange in your words, I think I got it: the four grand confused me, but otherwise everything is as clear as most of your posts ;).

If only it were just the 4 Ks and I don’t mean that because of envy... It’s about a lot more, but as already written, we hope for a peaceful solution without a lawyer. We’ve hardly ever known compromises and concessions as well as in the last few months, the dream house has long since ceased to be that, but when you look at this now terrible world there are far worse things than our little problems...
