Stairs in the living room as a hype - Pros & Cons?

An open folded plate staircase is a sculpture that looks impressive from every angle. Railings to the room should either be omitted or designed to be extremely delicate.

Stairs in the living / dining area - for or against?

Against. Beautiful but impractical.

Also against that. Personally, I don't find stairs themselves beautiful, no matter how super-duper modern and high-quality they are. In our house, the stairs start from the hallway downstairs and lead up to the gallery (that's where our gym is). Not ideal, but it will be changed. Then there is a separate stairwell. Such a completely open design doesn't give me a feeling of coziness – that's also why I don't like open kitchens that connect to the living room. When I sit on the couch in the evening, I want to have my peace and not see or hear anything else.

I agree with the previous speaker. Against stairs in the living room.

I also don't like stairs in the living area. I like the look of it, but with children it is too loud and uncomfortable for me on the sofa. In our house, the stairs are used very often in the evening because the children go to the kitchen, so I am glad that it is far from the sofa.

We currently have an open staircase in the apartment building. It looks quite stylish but is extremely impractical with 2 small children. Our children are quite sensitive to noise, and in the evenings we already tiptoe around a bit quietly. Therefore, it is out of the question for us in the new building. Without children, however, I would install such a stylish straight "Show" staircase in the living area. It does look quite stylish.
