Back to the question, your meter is a modern measuring device. This can be upgraded to an intelligent measuring system (=Smartmeter) if your provider already offers this.
However, you would need to have a very high consumption to recover the additional costs through optimization...

In the future, more favorable tariffs will probably be available with intelligent measuring systems, which will allow the additional costs to be recovered more quickly.

Thanks for the answer. I cannot yet estimate my electricity consumption. 2+2 person household. At the moment we use little electricity in the apartment – under 2000 kWh. I think in the house it will be at least 3500 kWh + air-water heat pump (KfW House 55). We will definitely not be under 6000 kWh.

With an air-water heat pump, it can of course pay off faster. However, I would also currently prefer an intermediate meter here at least, costing about €100 plus installation and with various interfaces for evaluation. :)

Consumption for the heat pump with 105 sqm living space Bungalow about 1800 kWh per year.

In the last year, our air heat pump shows 1818 kWh for HZ and 441 kWh for WW.
