Smart home video doorbell recommendation

What do you think of the video doorbell from Netatmo?

I find them ugly, but that applies to almost all common models from various providers. Furthermore, it only has WLAN, which I do not consider sensible at least for a new building. That it advertises Apple/Google/Amazon integration very aggressively is not something you can even blame it for.

I have installed the Balter Evo doorbell/video system at our place. 2-wire bus technology and the master screen can be connected to the Wi-Fi, so you can also see who is ringing on mobile devices while on the go and talk to the person. Door opening from a distance also works even if the door is not properly locked. They have a monitor on the ground floor and one on the upper floor. However, a cable must be laid at the planned locations beforehand.

We are very satisfied with it. The picture and sound quality are perfectly fine for us.

Let's put it this way. It won't win any design awards. :D Besides, I only found a single model on their site. Hmm, the selection is really quite limited. Or where are the others hidden on the site?

If you want something SMART with a few functions, you just have to spend a bit (more) money.

You can also install the door/station and the house station independently of each other. The main thing is that they can communicate with each other. We have the Legrand Classe 300 X13E indoor station. The corresponding outdoor intercom or camera unit is really ugly. We replaced it with something completely different. Our electrician found it. Completely stainless steel. Much more elegant and upscale. The main thing is that the devices can communicate with each other.
