Slight slope - Should you fill or build on the slope?

Hello dear forum members,

we are interested in a plot of land that has a slight slope (see pictures in the attachment).

What do you think? Is it possible to fill up the plot, or distribute the soil to level it, based solely on the pictures you see, or do you necessarily have to build with the slope? What costs would approximately arise? A basement is not really planned, we would like to build with BP.

Thank you very much!

How high is the height difference in the building envelope?
Based on the pictures, I would not fill in.
You can also build in the basement or in your case that would be the ground floor with living spaces. It does not need a traditional basement.

We have living, dining, cooking, WC, entrance, and building services downstairs and the access to the terrace below.
For example, Arifas has the bedrooms downstairs and the living spaces upstairs because that is where the main garden is.

Draw the property (if possible with meter measurements) on a sheet of paper and sketch where the house should go plus the terrace & front door. Also put an arrow showing the direction the slope goes down.

"Slight slope" is a bit of an understatement when you look at the neighbors. There are several meters of elevation difference.

My first guess is that you won’t get by without a basement (cellar - no matter which type). With a slab foundation you only build on almost level land. Your property with what feels like more than 3m height difference is far from that.

This is for me more than a "leichter Hang". Leichter Hang is maybe 1-1.5 meters in the building area - then filling is easily feasible, especially since you can "level" over the entire area. With over 2.5 meters difference in height, I already see a problem or a solution with UG.

It happened to us the same way. We also thought we only had a slight slope. Therefore, we also wanted to build with a slab. The slight slope has a height difference of 3.05 meters. So now we are building with a basement and lots of L-shaped retaining walls and slopes. This will cost me a total of €90k more than building on a flat plot.

Do you recognize any parallels? The "slight" slope goes up to the third fence post of the neighbor .

Thank you very much for the numerous responses. I would like to have the property leveled to the back and build a retaining wall where the hedge is, as well as at the neighbor's. Is that more expensive than if the house is built into the slope? There is no development plan there.
