Hello haydee,

thanks for the feedback. We have banished the prep kitchen. It will be located in the new functional building of the summer toboggan run.

Regarding the entrances and snow removal, I agree with you. However, patients of the practice need a separate entrance.

When we come from the garden (from gardening or the children from playing), we do not want to have to go through the practice entrance. So, a separate utility entrance on the garden side. Also, the slope falls in such a way that it is shallower on the west side than on the east side.

And at ground floor level, a house entrance is of course required.

All of the above points have led to this variant. But I will definitely plan enough space for snow removal with the snow blower. The average Erzgebirger usually has two, not just one.

If anyone can make a concrete optimization suggestion for the basement (narrower corridor, etc.), that would be great! Who or what is Kaho?

My wife wants the washing machine and dryer upstairs... where the laundry arises and where it is folded and sorted. I comply with her wish.

Ground floor: the pantry could of course be bigger. Where would you get the space for that?

Barrier-free guest bathroom: I would now assume that a person in need of care always has someone to help when showering or going to the toilet. Of course, I gladly accept measurement suggestions—preferably concrete ones, so I can pass them on to the planner.

So again, THANK YOU for the constructive input!

The separate practice entrance definitely makes sense. And if both of you have grown that tall, then the children will probably be like that too, so the ceiling height will fit as planned.

There is always a residual risk that I might overlook something - but with high probability, if I don’t complain about a point, it means I find it okay :-)

And where is the dirty laundry stored? Where is the bra dried?

Kaho is a user who creates great plans. The bathroom on the ground floor does not work with wheelchair/rollator and helper. Google "nullbariere." Take a compass and mark 1.5 m turning circles everywhere on the ground floor. If the wheelchair is to be pushed, correspondingly more. Entrance, bathroom, living room, dining, sleeping, balcony. Bathroom shower should be 1.5 x 1.5 m. Next to the washbasin, space for the helper. Next to the toilet there should be space so that the wheelchair fits in and one can transfer to the toilet (whether that is still possible in old age). I understand wanting laundry upstairs and wouldn’t want to miss it. Where should the laundry be sorted? Where dried? Where ironed and folded? I would remove the children's bathroom. You have 3 bathrooms for 5 people but not a single room to properly wash laundry. Pantry remove it and put in cupboards. Same or even more storage space, better movement space. Basement. Cancel storage, make technology bigger, then the workbench fits in. The storage is so small that you cannot put shelves in. How about hobby, WC, work1, the corridor for the children’s entrance becomes working new, work 2 becomes hobby, and the entrance doors lie next to each other. Children directly into the hobby room. Patients into the anteroom.

I do have the suspicion that your thoughts work like that, but I can only follow them to a limited extent :-)

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I also can’t fully follow your ideas... Just to keep in mind: The house is to be built on a hillside. Accordingly, the embankment slopes down on the gable sides. The view to the south (practice room window) and west (large sliding door dining-living area) is really great. To the east there is a neighboring house. I personally don’t really need windows there.
