I would have loved to have double-glazed windows in the new house, but I didn’t dare ask for it, not even here in the forum.
That is a pity. For us, it was standard. When we moved in, the hype with triple and 5-fold glazing started. You can read a lot of negative things. They are heavy, expensive, and cause moisture buildup in the morning… etc. All just to save 10 euros a month.
The story of our new house is actually one of those "didn’t dare" stories. ;-)
That is a pity!
Our house also has a cold roof, and the future attic conversion is "excluded" as well.
You have a city villa with a hipped roof (or similar). That doesn’t really lend itself to that. Crawling through the floor hatch and the low roof involves dangers. I think you could still store a few boxes around the hatch.
100ers are no longer allowed, right? I thought the Building Energy Act is the minimum?
No, they are no longer allowed. But the houses that were built recently to that standard can provide a home for a family and work wonderfully, even with low heating consumption. Many forget that those who are now building in the craze that everything must be the newest "standard." Many forget that new does not mean best. There is no need to badmouth what is proven.
