I have another question on this topic today, although it is no longer about the floor plan, but about the financing or assessment of ancillary construction costs. How can I move this topic to the correct subforum? Or should I rather create a new post in the correct subforum and link to this post? Otherwise, I will try the latter later.

New post!

If you implement the suggestions from Würfel, very good!

I would make two bathrooms upstairs: one that you enter through the current bathroom door and is smaller, and one as an en suite bathroom for you as parents. The dressing room is large, and by shifting the stairs, it will become even larger – but that is not really necessary. I would treat myself to a bathroom/dressing room combination there (and no, with controlled residential ventilation it won’t be too humid for the clothes). It doesn’t have to be a large bathroom, but a shower bathroom is possible.

Great house, even better with the implemented input. I have 3 more ideas:

1.: More light in the kitchen and dining area can be achieved by installing fixed glass continuously between the kitchen window and the dining room window from about countertop height.
2.: Install a sliding door to the dressing room and consider leaving out the two walls protruding into the transition area.
3.: Build the staircase as a "walk-in cabinet furniture" with drawer steps in the lower area. That will give you a lot of storage space, which you will need with 3 children.

I especially like the windbreak of the terrace.
I like the coat corner and the guest WC less - in practice something will always be in the way. But I don't have a better solution up my sleeve.

After you haven't responded for 7 months, you can create a new post. By the way: that's not really a nice way to behave here. "Better late than never" doesn't necessarily apply on the wide internet.

That now sounds harsher than I intended. It would be nice if you shared your planning with us and showed it sometime.
