Solvable through windows in the upper floor hallway. Move the utility room door. It does get brighter upstairs, but not better downstairs. A: That is also in our considerations, thanks
Door directly at the kitchen entrance possible. A: We would like additional cabinets on that side, therefore no door
The staircase is again the "culprit" here, as a central element. A: Do you see a landing staircase in this floor plan? - I would appreciate a suggestion
A large rectangle as an open plan (living/eating/cooking) I generally don't find appealing.
Would be (another) consideration.

What does side mean for you? I see access from above, so from the north.
I also see no/ hardly any storage/warehouse room. These pull-out stairs are annoying in the long term if you have to go upstairs more often than just for seasonal items.
(After 4 years of a bungalow with pull-out stairs, for example, a client wants to "build a staircase upstairs" here. :rolleyes: )
On the sidelines: the beds in the children's rooms "in the middle of the landscape" take up space.
Property and site plan are necessary.

We have no development plan. We are building according to § 34 of the Building CodeWhat is "side" for you? I see access from above, so from the north. -yes exactly, we want to have the entrance there, not in the east (front) I also see no/almost no storage/utility room. These pull-out stairs are annoying in the long run if you have to go up more often than just for seasonal items. (After 4 years of a bungalow with pull-out stairs, for example, a client here wants to "build a stairway up". :rolleyes: ) -You're right there. It's hard to describe, but really not that much piles up. We have a double garage, one side is used for kids' bikes etc. Garden stuff goes into the garden shed. Laundry room upstairs, Christmas stuff, old clothes boxes etc. in the attic. By the way: the beds in the kids' rooms "in the middle of nowhere" take up space. -We will still change quite a bit here, thanks for your help! May I post changes or do I only have this shot here that I posted? We have already decided some changes now. Site plan and location plan are necessary.
