What exactly is it about this room division that concerns you? Here you have now completely closed it off. You didn't have that with the straight staircase.

Why don't you let an architect do it? Sorry but I think it completely lacks everything in every way..

Calculate stairs: google "stairs 1x1".

For a layperson, I think this is already quite a good painted basis for discussion to visualize the wishes towards the architect, and you don’t have to prepare it more “appropriately.” But mind you, an architect should be put to work afterwards, and not a general contractor’s drafting clerk. In the latter case, unfortunately, the journey would go towards Senkjuforträweling ;-)

Hello everyone,

thanks again for your input. In the meantime, we had a first appointment with an architect. He has already made us a first proposal with a possible rough room layout. I quickly redrew it with Sweet Home 3D because we were not allowed to take the sketches with us yet. I actually find the layout very good; we will continue in this direction now. Do you see any potential or major flaws?

Thanks, regards,
Monty

Small details: do you go to the utility room or to the WC more often after entering the house? I would consider whether to offset the front door. Access to the bedroom through the dressing room would also be conceivable. I would also think about whether the corridor on the upper floor could be made a bit narrower - 10 to 20 cm narrower.

Can you still mark the dimensions of the rooms?
