In general or referring to earlier times and models, you might be right, but the mentioned model is in no way inferior to the more expensive "brand models". At least we were/are very positively surprised, both by the perceived quality and the functions themselves. Not to mention the price-performance ratio. Of course, everyone else is free to spend their 5000 EUR on Liebherr and Co ;) ... especially as I just know a very "funny" story regarding this manufacturer and specialist retailers. Someone said they wanted to spend a lot of money and only buy from specialist retailers. When the huge fridge broke down just one week later, it was less funny... Of course, that’s just one example :)

There are whisky connoisseurs (and yes, I mean Single Malt) who swear that drinking some whiskys with water (or ice) creates a completely different flavor experience. But of course, you should use spring water and not Berliner Rohrperle.

I have another suggestion: a large-capacity refrigerator and a large-capacity freezer. However, I don’t know if there is one in 50cm – which you would need. We have it like that now, and at least with the freezer (that was the issue) I don’t know how I’m supposed to fill it up. The refrigerator is often full now, but honestly, I can’t remember what’s in the second vegetable drawer (I think it still has the BDAs and small items in it), and we will be getting more when the old standalone unit from the apartment comes.

That may be, with Liebherr it’s still Liebherr inside, but I wouldn’t know that they build side-by-side units (I haven’t checked either). We stuck with the LG because for the price it offered exactly what we wanted, fixed water connection, ice, no middle bar in the fridge.

Smeg is, for example, a manufacturer where you find under the cover a Gorenje 700 EUR device, which in the Smeg design costs over 2000 and that just because it has a bit of color.

I had initially also considered an LG (French Door) for almost double the price and ultimately ended up with the Haier. Not just because of the price. So far we have no regrets and miss nothing ;) We deliberately did not even want water and ice included for free :)

How about the noise level? Is the appliance located in an open living area or rather in a separate kitchen?
