My ones were different. They not only fixed their defects without any fuss but also the "mistakes" caused by my ignorance.
Ours too. :) In our case, the shower was tiled higher than contractually agreed upon, because at the start of the tiling work we were standing in the bathroom with the tiling foreman and wondered whether it would even look good to tile the inside all the way up and only halfway up on the outside. In the end, he said they would tile it all the way up because it would look nicer. No extra charge. :eek:
You can, at least in new construction, completely avoid this with different screed heights. :)
They told us that too. We deliberately made the small edge so that later we would have the option to tile the hallway upstairs if desired, without having to remove screed there. Otherwise, there would be an edge between tiles and tiles. Our sampler also advised us on this, but also from the perspective – and I agree with him today – that the edge in our case is so minimal that you hardly see it anyway. It’s maybe 3mm.
