Shower glass walls - What price is reasonable?

We have now inquired about shower walls from several local craftsmen, glaziers, and bathroom planners. We need a simple shower wall and a two-sided shower enclosure (one glass panel, one glass door). The total is approximately 3m length x 2m height = 6sqm of glass.

All offers are priced between €5500 and €7000, which really shocked us. We had initially budgeted around €2000-3000. Is this normal, or what experiences do you have? Are there other options?

For the guest WC, I still need a glass shower partition as a retrofit and have picked out a foldable element there - but have not ordered it yet, so I cannot make any statements regarding quality, etc. For an additional charge, they also offer installation directly.

Hardware store or mail order goods and install yourself.

Checked on Manomano, a glass shower enclosure 100x200 costs about 250 EUR.

You can also check on Amazon or Ebay. We needed a shower enclosure and asked various local glaziers. The result was quotes between 1,000 - 2,500 €. We then bought a suitable shower enclosure on Ebay and installed it ourselves. Delivery was trouble-free and it does what it is supposed to do (it is a frosted glass panel). Costs were just under 170 €...
