Shower glass walls - What price is reasonable?

In total, it has to stay fair. The local glazier can't make you a pane for 170 EUR, he won't even get the material for that.

5-7,000 EUR, however, is beyond reason, those are probably "Just leave me alone, I can't keep up anymore" offers.

Under 2,500 you won't get something like that from a specialist company in Germany. You just have to see if it's worth it to you. Otherwise, you order it on the internet, then the stuff comes from Poland or somewhere else.

I have just obtained an offer myself, but with installation at the earliest in 6 months. There are three panes, 8mm ESG, totaling about 5sqm including delivery, installation, and materials etc. for €2500 gross. It is an offer from a local glazier.

We paid just under 1000 euros for a pane measuring 1.5 x 2 m about a year ago. Including installation. I got 3 quotes from local glaziers. The most expensive wanted 1800, the other two were similar. And we do a lot ourselves, but I wouldn't have trusted myself to install it. Two people needed 2 hours because the tiler had done millimeter work. Just getting it into the bathroom was quite an operation.

I bought all shower enclosures, also 1.6x2m, on eBay. Of course, ESG, and I only paid 220 euros including shipping as a guideline for the 1.6x2m walk-in panel in 2019.

However, of course, they would have to be installed by yourself.

Last year in summer I ordered from the local glazier (last trade before moving in ;-)

All-glass shower 2150mm high, 2 panels back-painted on the wall, 2 parts freestanding.
Shower is 900mm wide and 1400mm deep. In addition, there was a large panel as WC and
sink cover (2072x1228mm) with many cutouts (also back-painted)

total about 10m² for €2966.08 incl. VAT.

We ordered the whole thing 4 times for our DH with 4WE ... maybe that’s why
there was some discount?
