Hello everyone,

I am at a loss as to how we could plan our bathroom. It is 220 wide and 400 long. Everything will definitely fit, as shown in the picture. There should also be a double sink with about 150 width. What is troubling us, however, is the shower. We would like something low-maintenance, but it should not turn the bathroom into a long dark corridor, so the 140-150 walk-in shower is out of the question. (Because then the sink would no longer have much space, as there would only be about 70 cm free behind it up to the shower.)

Therefore, we are thinking of a shower with 2 partial walls. The one towards the toilet half-height with glass and the other possibly built up to the ceiling. However, I do not know if 70 cm is enough to prevent water splashing. I know that 150 is needed for direct splashing in order to keep everything dry, but how far does it splash sideways?

Does anyone have such a shower and can report back? Or does anyone have an idea how else we could do it? The bathroom planner had planned a shower with a 120 cm glass sliding door, but that is too much cleaning for me.

Thank you all and best regards
little coward,
PS. Please be considerate, I am new here

The entrance to the shower should only be 50cm wide?

It doesn't matter whether you clean a tiled wall or a glass wall/door. I would probably prefer the glass walls. They are easier to maintain than "rotting" grout lines. Besides, you are creating a dark hole for yourself. P.S. With the variant you drew by hand, water sprays actively out of the tiny and impractical passage. My conclusion: terrible idea, dark, and too maintenance-intensive.

Would it be possible to omit the bidet and plan a handheld bidet shower at the toilet? Whether integrated into the toilet or as a spray... there are different options.

At the moment, the entrance to our shower is 35 cm, so that would already be an improvement.

No, the bidet will definitely be included, simply for the children and also for quickly washing feet, etc.
