Should the garage be flush with the house or set back?

I would rather call it bottomless thoughtlessness, but it was not the reason for the resignation of our only crystal ball owner . A narrow side entrance leads to an uneconomical interior access of the house; with a placeholder, one cannot even sensibly say where the entrance should go, and the very first insight when copying the dummy into the property should actually be that the gable orientation of the house must be questioned. Among the "best" near-guarantees for the failure of a house design is to start the design process at the worst possible point. Is there even a thread from you here that begins with the completed questionnaire so that our floor plan composers would have a basis for suggestions (or usable height data for the gentleman in the round)?

Yes, sure. No, such a thread with a completed questionnaire does not exist yet. Since the ridge direction is specified perpendicular to the street, gable to the street, it basically comes down to such an arrangement given the "small" plot size. Additional information: no slope.

Even the clearest insights are only useful once you follow them: Then it’s about time to 1. start a new thread with the completed questionnaire; 2. link this one here; 3. there address the resulting follow-up question whether a certain length ratio to the house axis is also specified. Ideally, you name (not link!) the development plan right away. Additional info: what some laypeople call "no slope" is very variable.

I have not yet read Windschutz.

If applicable, possible Sonnenschutz could also be installed on the garage (beams).

Two things which, in my assessment, are very important

Of course, you can start with a placeholder house and a detailed garage plan. Why not?! That sets priorities ;) However, much is complex and interconnected. The slicing tactic often mentioned by leads to the goal, just like how you can combine Duplo and Lego: it works, but with limitations.

I wouldn't necessarily assume a standard house with standard dimensions given these plot sizes. Therefore, a different location may still arise.

Thank you for the comment. But I have a question. What exactly is a standard house with standard dimensions? And when is a house no longer a standard house? Is that standardized somewhere?
