Why should concrete not be poured on Monday?

With us, the steel including tying and concrete regularly arrived on the same day...

If it is like that, then it is good. With us, it was different and there were 2-3 days in between because the workers also had other construction sites.

I find the lively participation nice but somehow also fascinating and wonder why knows everything better than me, even though he is not me. So yes, the storm (pre)warning still applies, also for Ingolstadt, even though we are not building there, but whatever.

And yes, the steel is so far only single-layered and not twisted yet, but I was there live when the floor slab boss was on the phone and ordered the concrete for Monday at 12 p.m.
If it was different for you, then I’m sorry for you, but wanting to know everything better when someone here is worried about their first (and last) construction site in life and has questions.... No, not a nice way.
Oh yes, for me there are four people working on the floor slab, and they each do one after the other and don’t switch back and forth.

Do you know, "everything from me" is already very absolute. Just like many things here are always viewed absolutely.

If it repeatedly (not always!) affects you, there must be some reason for that. Whether it is rooted in you or in me... I don't know. But it is rarely always one-sided. In this respect, please also sweep in front of your own door.

But if it is your thread, a response will probably (as long as the thread is not hijacked) always have a relation to you.

Why am I so strongly against the "severe weather warning"? I can tell you: Because here (and elsewhere) panic is regularly stirred up because people do not know how to interpret and understand certain hints from the DWD. And because some things are simply wrong.

Examples please? Gladly:

Hurricane ([teilw. deutlich] >118km/h) is worlds apart from gusty wind or storm (62-88 km/h).

And an advance notice of significant weather (which often already causes panic) is something clearly different from an actual severe weather warning. And there are still various other levels in between.

By the way, I have interpreted Ingolstadt as a place of residence at least as the place of construction. Alternatively, more specific information about the place of construction or place of occurrence should/could be provided.

To interpret your "advance notice severe weather" more clearly... We have had the same warning since yesterday. And we are now behind the thunderstorm line. Do you know what has happened here so far? The flowers and the lawn got wet. My car stayed outside.

That does not mean that one should simply ignore such a thing (which you did not do). The region around Ingolstadt is still next (+30m). Then also with a "real" severe weather warning.

Sorry, but I was simply put off by your statement regarding the site manager and concreting on Monday. I agree with you that the matter of the weather cannot be seen that precisely, but not giving it any thought at all is also wrong. However, to immediately say that concreting will not take place on Monday, even though you do not know the conditions, is simply not okay.
