Separate niche with folding doors - closet space

maybe the videos from Hettich and Häfele could also help. I haven’t watched any of those yet… (I’m still old school and read manuals) I will catch up on that.

here it is rather a small square corridor. No one passes by constantly. I would probably also suggest aluminum slats for you.

What speaks against a normal door? Usually there are shelves on one side anyway. I also lived in the USA for a long time and found most closets rather impractical since they are like storage rooms and difficult to use.

As I said, more of a whim of mine... and we actually loved the closets... Thanks to the "Container Store" we then equipped them with shelves and the box was done (for those familiar with the USA)

But you can also nicely equip niches with a door in front with shelves and all sorts of things. Now from my apartment, my "storage room/niche" with a door opening outwards, width approx. 130 cm, depth approx. 125 cm. Space for my washing machine with hanging options, pantry shelf. Also fuse box.



Here is the floor plan for it, but I have the door of the storage room hinged on the right and not on the left, as shown here on the floor plan.


I don't find this door disturbing at all.
