I wiped the condensate with towels. But as I said, at some point it was just all too much.

I would definitely seal the opening of the floor hatch well.

Chapeau, you have such stoic calmness to keep explaining it over and over! I'll give it a try too!

The heating of the screed after installation is done according to a fixed program from the manufacturer of the heating system. Usually 21 days (I know, debate). So 1 week heating up, one week holding, one week cooling down. You want to know if the heating works/is tight and if the screed is stress-free, otherwise it "cups."
Floor covering: i.e. dry enough to tile etc., is then done with construction dryers. Shock ventilation is always advised

Hello everyone,

I would like to join in with a question.
Our self-leveling screed was poured exactly 3 weeks ago.
It is regularly ventilated. However, I have not noticed any moisture development anywhere (on the windows or on the concrete ceiling)? Really nothing.
Is that normal? Heating will start next week. We were now recommended to sand the screed for better drying. The screed layer said that has nothing to do with the drying. Are there any experiences with this?
Thanks and regards

Stefan

How did you ventilate at the beginning? Did you keep everything closed for the first 3 days? Everything must have been damp then, right? What did/does the surface of the screed look like? Does it already look very dry? In that case, the surface may have closed, and the screed underneath cannot dry out. Did the screed get drafts too early? The question is also how you have ventilated so far.

This is how it looked after 1.5 days. Air out twice daily for half an hour. But even after I went in for the first time after 1.5 days, there was hardly any moisture.
