The site manager should have commented during the inspection?
What "others" think about it is of little use to you. You have to look at your past construction period and especially how problems that arise were handled.
Since the scratch is not directly in the visible area, I would at least have it polished: the entire lower front where the scratch can be seen. Afterwards, at least it looks like "it has to be that way." It will still catch your eye because you simply know about it; however, a casual observer will hardly notice it.
I wouldn’t want money, but an (almost) invisible compromise
Edit: with my suggestion, the issue of ugly notches to the left of the scratch would also be resolved in one go.

We found 2 deep scratches in the frame of the patio door during the inspection. A replacement is not possible and also way too expensive.
