In today's times, I would at least ask myself whether you really still need a satellite system or whether IP TV is sufficient. It is significantly simpler in terms of configuration and maintenance.
Jumping in:
Which LNB and multiswitch would be needed for 8 participants? There are coaxial cable connections in 6 rooms. 1 room will be added if needed. Additionally, a connection to a SatOverIP receiver in the utility room should be connected.
Good point from rdwlnts. Personally, I would still go for a satellite system at the moment, but only where there is actually a TV today, and I wouldn't spend a fortune on it. Much more important nowadays, I find a proper network cabling in the conduit. This is at least the future for me in the medium term.

Actually, I have talked about it with my wife. However, you are always dependent on the internet connection here.. Although my wife and I hardly ever watch free TV.. But maybe sometimes for the kids so they have the option to watch regular TV :)
Thank you! Is it best to install the multiswitch in the attic, or can it also be installed in the utility room on the ground floor without the signals being too heavily attenuated? (We have a cold roof; however, it is dry).
