I also had connections for satellite and so on installed on the wall side; possibly one day the partition wall might be removed again and the dining area as well, then the dining area could be next to the kitchen island, there is still a corner there. Would a aerated concrete wall be significantly more stable?
I have here practically framed our large bed in this way and built a wooden shelf on top. It stands rock-solid, possibly also because of the small, double-sided kink, but you could try it without at first or, if necessary, stiffen it to the ceiling. This wall as a partition between living room/dining room could be permanent for me and if necessary, your sofa could also stand there, if you want to place the TV on the opposite wall. Just as you said, the visual disturbance would be rather unpleasant to me as well and I would rather place the TV on a lowboard or any low-lying surface than hang it on a wall. This loose version in the picture is also anchored to the floor AND the ceiling, therefore it is not freely changeable or only with rework. But....that is just my OPINION-
