It looks very chic, but then don’t you see any movements in the background? Who does something like that, a carpenter?

Steffi’s model is still in the running with me as well.

Of course you see movement, but whether that bothers you is something everyone has to find out for themselves. Otherwise, you have to think of a closed version or a non-distracting one. A carpenter will make that if it’s supposed to be made of wood, but there are certainly also shelf providers with whom you can make something similar. Basically, it’s mostly a matter of taste and imagination and whether you prefer it closed or transparent. You also still have to solve the cable issue.

You can clearly see movement behind it when you look at it head-on. But you can also see that with a shelf. Whether it's these wooden beams or the shelf... unfortunately, neither will be available off the shelf.

I can't imagine that a single 180 cm high wall in the room looks good.
Why, not like in your example image at the thread opening? Privacy screen, but still open.

The question you have to ask yourself is: Is there a lot of movement behind the TV or are there at most 1-2 people hanging around there.
You will hardly sit there when your partner is sitting in the other area with 3 friends having a few glasses of wine. They will get so loud that you would have to turn up the TV so loud that the others get annoyed.

My suggestions:
1) Wall itself as low as possible (top edge TV) and something loose above it. Either shelves like Steffi’s or the wooden beams up to the top as suggested here 1-2 pages ago. Illuminate the whole thing warmly with a few light sources.
You can also set the beams somewhat diagonally so that the view-through is reduced, maybe also with overlapping, like / / / / / or / \ / \ / \ instead of I I I I I.

2) Wall 160 cm high and at least at the edges built up to the top, could look better.
Try drawing sight lines on paper. If you sit 3 m from the TV, eye level 120 cm, wall is 160 cm high – what do you still see behind the wall then? Only the person sitting with their back to the wall when they stand up.

My wife cooks a lot and we have 3 children (1 on the way )

The sofa has a seat height of about 45cm, I have to measure the distance to the room divider again, but I think comfortably at least 3m.

The TV should be at least 65 inches large.

The second suggestion sounds very good to me, thank you!
