Hello you two. The orientation is north. The kneewall is very high at ~1.60 m, hence the limited possible height - the room is not located at a gable wall. So rather 1.34 x 78 instead of 2 small ones?

Many greetings and thanks for the input.

Then I would speak with the roofer about what is the largest possible light surface (= glass area) still possible now.

The sash frame light dimension of the 1340 x 780 window is 1128*568, resulting in a glass area of 0.641 m². The sash frame light dimension of a 540 x 780 window is 328*568, resulting in a glass area of 2 * 0.186 = 0.373 m². Even 2 windows measuring 740 x 780 (which probably do not fit) would only have 0.6 m² of glass area. In other words, the 1340 x 780 window should be the best choice for light output.

Do you have a dimensioned floor plan of the room? I wouldn’t say it so generally.

Not available right now. I will gladly post it this evening. The room is in a sandwich position and is 2.46 meters wide and 3.28 meters deep. The knee wall is on the wide side (2.46 m) and measures 1.6 m from the finished floor. The roof pitch is 45°. The arrangement of the fixtures is as follows: Starting from the knee wall on one long wall, first the toilet, then the sink. On the other side, bathtub and then shower. In the middle, a corridor about 90 cm wide accordingly. The window or windows are then on the wide side.

For the eaves side length, I would choose the large window. I would not like 2 windows next to each other at a short distance.
